Puffin Books have relaunched 4 classic childrens books by the author Noel Streatfeild and commissioned Jo to illustrate the new covers. Streatfeild, born in 1895, the English novelist was best known for children’s books including the “Shoes” series inaugurated by Ballet Shoes. Jo has illustrated the covers for all 4 books in the series: Ballet Shoes, Circus Shoes, Tennis Shoes & Theatre Shoes. The original books were published in the 1930’s but remain popular with children today.
